locvy · Your data & your privacy

Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information locvy.com collects, how we use it, who we share it with, and the rights you have — including California (CCPA/CPRA) and EU (GDPR) rights — plus how to opt out.

locvy.com ("we," "us," or "the Site") respects your privacy. This policy applies to information we collect when you visit the Site. It does not apply to the gambling operators we link to — each of those has its own privacy policy that governs any account you open with them, and you should read it separately.

1. What data we collect

We designed the Site to collect as little as possible. We do not sell products, require accounts, or ask you to log in. The data involved falls into three groups:

  • Information you give us voluntarily: if you email us or use our contact form, we receive your name, email address, and whatever you put in your message.
  • Automatically collected usage data: like most websites, our analytics and hosting record technical information such as your IP address (often truncated/anonymized by analytics), browser type and device, pages you view, referring URLs, and approximate location derived from IP. This helps us understand which content is useful.
  • Cookies and similar technologies: including essential cookies, analytics cookies, and affiliate-tracking cookies. These are described in detail in our Cookie Policy.

2. How we use your data

We use the information above to operate and improve the Site, respond to your enquiries, measure traffic and content performance through analytics, and attribute affiliate referrals so we can be credited for sign-ups (which is how the Site is funded). We do not use your data for automated decisions that produce legal effects, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

3. Third parties we share data with

We do not sell your personal information for money. We share limited data with service providers who help us run the Site:

  • Google Analytics (measurement property G-LGHCREJX01) for aggregated traffic statistics. Google processes this data under its own terms; you can opt out with Google's browser add-on.
  • Affiliate networks and gambling operators receive referral/click data (via tracking cookies or parameters) when you click an affiliate link, so the operator can attribute a resulting sign-up. Any account you then create is governed by that operator's privacy policy.
  • Hosting and infrastructure providers that store standard server logs.

4. Your California privacy rights (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA gives you the right to:

  • Know what personal information we collect about you and how it's used and shared.
  • Access and request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • Delete personal information we've collected, subject to legal exceptions.
  • Correct inaccurate personal information.
  • Opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information (including cross-context behavioural advertising).
  • Non-discrimination — we will not treat you differently for exercising these rights.

To exercise any of these rights, email editorial@locvy.com with the subject "California Privacy Request." You may use an authorized agent, and we will verify your request before acting on it.

5. Your rights in the EU/UK (GDPR)

If you are in the European Economic Area or the UK, the GDPR (and UK GDPR) gives you rights over your personal data, including the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to processing, the right to data portability, and the right to withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent (such as non-essential cookies). Our legal bases for processing are your consent (for analytics and marketing cookies), our legitimate interests (running and securing the Site), and, for correspondence, taking steps at your request. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. To exercise these rights, contact editorial@locvy.com.

6. How to opt out and manage cookies

You can refuse or withdraw consent for non-essential cookies at any time through your browser settings or any cookie-consent controls presented on the Site. Blocking essential cookies may stop parts of the Site from working. Full instructions for each cookie type are in our Cookie Policy. Many browsers also send a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, which we treat as a valid opt-out of "sale"/"sharing" where required by law.

7. Data retention and security

We keep contact-form and email correspondence only as long as needed to handle your enquiry and for reasonable record-keeping, and analytics data is retained according to our analytics provider's settings. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Children

The Site is intended only for adults (18+, or 21+ where required) and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes to this policy and contact

We may update this policy from time to time; the "last updated" date at the top reflects the latest version. For any privacy question or request, email editorial@locvy.com or use our contact page. See also our Terms & Conditions and Cookie Policy.
