About locvy.com: Who We Are & How We Review

locvy.com is an independent review site that tests and ranks offshore online casinos, crypto casinos, and sportsbooks that accept US players. We do the tedious part — depositing, playing, and cashing out real money — so you can see who actually pays before you sign up.

Most gambling "review" sites rank whoever pays them the most and move on. We built locvy.com because that leaves US players — who have fewer legal options than almost anyone else — with no honest place to check whether an offshore casino will actually let them withdraw. Our whole reason to exist is to answer three questions before you deposit a dollar: is this operator safe, will it pay out, and are you about to get scammed?

Our mission

We cover offshore operators specifically because that is the reality of the US market. Outside of the handful of states with regulated online casinos, most Americans who want to play online blackjack, slots, or bet on sports are choosing between operators licensed abroad. Pretending that market doesn't exist doesn't protect anyone — it just leaves players to guess. Our job is to bring the same scrutiny to that space that a good regulated-market review site would: test the cashiers, read the terms nobody reads, flag the traps, and be blunt about the operators we wouldn't use ourselves.

Why offshore, and what that actually means

Every operator we list is licensed in a jurisdiction outside the United States — commonly Curaçao, Anjouan, Panama, or Kahnawake. That matters, and we don't sugarcoat it: these operators are not licensed by any US state regulator, and the consumer protections you'd get from a state gaming commission do not apply. If a dispute goes wrong, your recourse runs through the operator's home regulator, not a US agency.

We're honest about that trade-off on every page. Offshore sites often offer bigger bonuses, crypto banking, and access from states with no regulated market — but the guardrails are thinner. Whether that's an acceptable trade is your call. Our part is to make sure you're making it with real information, and to steer you toward the operators with the longest track record of actually paying, not the ones with the loudest ads.

Our review methodology

This is the process every locvy.com review links back to. When a review says an operator scored 8.4/10, this is what produced that number. We score five categories, each weighted, on a 10-point scale, and the overall rating is the weighted average — nothing is hand-waved to make a partner look better.

1. Payout testing (30% weight)

This is the category we care about most, because it's the one that burns players. We fund a real account, play through any bonus conditions, then request a withdrawal and time it end to end. We record the method (crypto, card, bank wire), whether KYC was triggered, how long verification took, and the actual time from "withdraw" click to funds received. We report those windows in plain terms — for example, "crypto withdrawals cleared in under an hour once verified; card withdrawals took 2–4 business days." If an operator stalls, adds surprise conditions, or fails to pay a legitimate withdrawal, its payout score — and its overall ranking — drops hard, regardless of any commercial relationship.

2. Licensing & safety (25% weight)

Our compliance reviewer checks that the operator holds a current licence in the jurisdiction it claims, that the licensing seal on the site links to a live regulator record rather than a dead image, and that the company operating the site is identifiable. We note the licence jurisdiction on every review. We do not publish invented licence numbers — if we can't verify a specific number, we say "Curaçao-licensed" rather than fabricate a credential. We also check for a history of unresolved player complaints, sudden rebrands, or shared ownership with sites known for non-payment.

3. Bonuses & terms (20% weight)

A big headline bonus means nothing if the terms make it impossible to keep. We read the full bonus terms and score the reality: the wagering requirement (e.g. 35x vs 60x), what counts toward it (slots usually 100%, table games often 10% or 0%), the maximum cashout on bonus winnings, maximum bet while wagering, and expiry. A generous but fair 200% match with 35x beats a "500%" offer with a low max-cashout cap, and our scoring reflects that.

4. Games & software (15% weight)

We check who actually supplies the games. Recognisable studios and licensed live-dealer providers are a good sign; a lobby full of unbranded clones is a red flag for both fairness and payout reliability. We look at game breadth (slots, table games, live dealer, sports where offered) and whether the titles run properly on mobile.

5. Support & usability (10% weight)

We contact live chat and email support with real questions during and after testing, and note response times and whether the answers were useful or scripted. We also assess sign-up friction, cashier clarity, and mobile experience.

Reviews are refreshed on a rolling basis, and we re-test payouts periodically because operators change — a site that paid fast last year can slow down after an ownership change. Every review shows when it was last updated and who fact-checked it.

Editorial independence

Our ratings are set by the testing above, not by commercial deals. The writers who score operators are separate from any partnership discussions, and an operator paying us a commission cannot buy a higher score, a better ranking position, or the removal of a negative note. We will list — and recommend — operators we have no affiliate relationship with when they're the better pick, and we'll rank a partner below a non-partner when the testing says so. If we ever can't recommend an operator honestly, we don't list it. You can hold us to that; the people who write and check these reviews put their names on them.

How we make money

locvy.com is free to read and reader-supported through affiliate commissions. When you sign up with an operator through a link on our site, we may earn a commission from that operator — at no additional cost to you, and it never changes the bonus you receive. That's the entire business model: no paywall, no selling your data. We disclose this relationship at the top of every page that contains operator links, in line with FTC guidance. The commission is what lets us fund real-money testing accounts; it does not decide who wins our rankings. Where an affiliate link exists it carries a sponsored tag, and where it doesn't, the recommendation still stands on the testing.
